AIR PRODUCTS CORPORATE HQ GYM

Air Products Plc were relocating to a new head office in Surrey and needed to develop a new corporate gym on site. Our requirement was to design a gym in the space they had selected. Providing guidance on a range of cardio and strength gym equipment, they wanted only premium brands with an after-sales service package that was comprehensive.
THE PROCESS
Air Products worked with a focus group to try and define exactly what staff required from their new gym. During the process GymEquipment.co.uk helped the group to set criteria for selecting equipment brands, how to best compare brands and to discuss key issues like different console options, ensure all main muscle groups were catered for and the benefits of dual-purpose machines alongside quality and durability.
At the end of this process we presented a range of design layouts, quotes with the key brands that had been selected and then comparison tables and sheets so they had all the relevant information needed to make a decision. The 105m2 gym required a high specification and also needed the project management in order to deliver everything on time and to specification.


THE EQUIPMENT
After much discussion, the cardio and strength equipment was chosen from the Life Fitness Insignia and Aspire ranges, along with the commercial accessories from Jordan Fitness. This not only provided the premium quality that was required for the gym, but also ensured the excellent after-care package both companies are known for.

THE OUTCOME
Post installation, the new employee gym has gone down really well both with the UK employees and management and visiting US teams. The gym is stylish, professional and has encouraged employees to work out thanks to an open plan layout, easy to use and less intimidating equipment throughout. The gym has been extremely well-received on site.
