What is a Recumbent Bike?

A recumbent bike is a type of exercise bike that you use in a reclined position, so the pedals are in front of you rather than underneath you, as they are on an upright bike.

A recumbent stationary bike provides very little in the way of an upper body workout, but it is more comfortable than other bikes, with less pressure on your spine. This makes them a great option for those recovering from injury, who have balance problems, or people with back problems.
