If you have the space at home and like to vary your abdominal workouts, the 45° / 90° Hyper Bench by Inspire Fitness gives you the perfect base from which you can workout not only your abdominals, but also your lower back muscles. Both a great way to stretch out carefully and then to use for abdominal and lower back exercises, this hyper extension exercise bench provides a secure and stable foundation for you to workout with. Manufactured to a high standard the heavy duty 4", 12 gauge square and tubular steel frame is built to last whilst giving you the perfect platform to workout with.

Choosing your exercise is easy - performing it will be a little more demanding. The 45° - 90° positions can be set in 5 different ways to ensure you can carefully set the desired level of difficulty. The adjustment is easy and simple to do with a couple of pull 'pins' that you use to adjust the angles.

Best Exercises with Hyperextension Bench?

As discussed this is a piece of gym equipment that allows you to target lower back, abdominals, your glutes and also the hamstrings, although the latter is a lot more limited.

If you want to work your back, the hyperextension bench can target your lower back, glutes and hamstrings. For your abdominals you can actually use in a couple of different ways.

Firstly, side crunches by supporting your hip on the machine mean you can target your obliques with a great range of movement than is possible on the floor. Secondly, you can then do the more normal abdominal crunch exercises the machine is most commonly used for. Your abdominals will not be lifting your torso against gravity, so less stress but more pure muscle contraction.
