British Military Fitness Launches New Qualification
British Military Fitness Launches a new qualification, British Military Fitness (BMF) don’t like to be thought of as a boot camp so the logo ‘Serious Fun’ probably best sums up what BMF is all about.
Founded in 1999 by two Army professionals - Major Robin Cope and Sergeant Harry Sowerby as an effective and yet fun way to get fit in the outdoors with others. The idea was to use all the techniques used in the Army and transfer them to ordinary civilians as a way to get fit. The idea really took off and as of today there are 400 classes in more than 145 locations across the UK.
Why So Unique?
The training itself requires no equipment but covers all aspects of strength, speed, agility and stamina. To encourage all levels of fitness, groups are divided into different ability levels so you will only be working out with people of a similar level. The types of training on offer currently include group training sessions, army fitness, fitness assessments, sunfit holidays and the major series mud run.
What About the British Military Fitness Courses?
