Ascension Physiotherapy and Performance in Solihull, West Midlands is a business dedicated to providing physiotherapy services, soft tissue and massage therapy, PT services and strength and conditioning training for everyone. They wanted to expand their offering and create a Pilates reformer studio and chose to come with GymEquipment.co.uk due to our range and selection of Pilates reformers. Starting in February 2025, this was all signed off and installed in April.
THE PROCESS
GymEquipment.co.uk were chosen by Ascension Physiotherapy and Performance to help them compare and choose 6 Pilates reformers from a list that included Align Pilates, Merrithew and PeakPilates. They were not overly concerned about the actual brand, but were clear that they wanted a commercial reformer that could withstand heavy use throughout the week.
They were also budget-conscious in that the reformers were there to be an additional revenue stream for the company, so they had to offer value for money, offer all the accessories as well as a commercial warranty with support. We discussed various brands and models, but in the end it was the MOTU Flow in Grey that impressed them the most on all accounts.

Choosing the right Pilates reformer for this client was more important than the brand. From our first meeting and discussion in February 2025, we created a number of comparisons between the models and brands to identify the value for money they needed. This was not without some caveats including the need for support, for a stylish and contemporary reformer and for a bundle of equipment.
Ascension Physiotherapy & Performance is based in Solihull and they spotted a gap in the market. The MOTU Flow had the contemporary look they wanted as well as the total bundle that allowed them to install and start classes immediately.

THE OUTCOME
GymEquipment.co.uk delivered and installed the new reformers on time and on budget. The Pilates reformer studio was quickly up and running and is proving to be highly successful and very popular as an additional revenue stream for the company. This sits alongside their physiotherapy and sport performance offerings.
