Stairmaster HIIT Upper Body Ergometer (UBE)

The Stairmaster or Throwdown HIIT UBE (Upper Body Ergometer) is a commercial grade upper body cycle that's made for rehabilitation and high-performance training. This is all about the upper body - engaging arms, shoulders and upper back through the pedalling motion. This helps to build upper strength and endurance, whilst also delivering cardiovascular conditioning. The tower is adjustable, the crank arms are also convertible and the ergonomic grips let users fine-tune a range of motion for their shoulders, back, wrists and elbows. You can also do seated, standing or wheelchair-based workouts.

The HIIT UBE (Upper Body Ergometer) defining feature is its fan-based AirFit resistance. From start, the resistance is light but the harder you crank the bigger the resistance. This makes it ideal for HIIT-style intervals and steady conditioning. The crank arms on the HIIT UBE support opposing, dual and single-arm neutral motion which basically means training can be bilateral or unilateral. The removable bench allows seated or standing use, while a removable ramp for wheelchair use and rehab is only adding 56cm to the footprint. The LED HIIT console shows time, RPM, heart rate, watts, METs, calories and distance with five preset programmes covering time, distance, calorie and interval workouts. You also get ANT+ and Bluetooth data tracking. Build is heavy-gauge welded steel with a twin belt transmission, transport wheels, a water bottle holder and a powder-coat finish.
