Hydrow Rower
One of Time magazines best inventions of 2020, the Hydrow was conceived by rowing champion and US national team coach Bruce Smith. His view is that this product will be the closest feeling you will ever get to actually rowing.
Offering a 22” touchscreen and a beautiful modern design, this rower operates on a patented electromagnetic drag mechanism for a completely smooth and silent row. The screen can also be used to access programmes for all sorts of other daily workouts including yoga and Pilates, so it’s not just about the rowing.

But if you do want an amazing immersive experience when rowing then this could be the rower for you, this is what Hydrow refer to as the ‘live outdoor reality’. As the screen allows you to experience rowing on say for example Loch Ness in Scotland or Indian Creek in Miami. You can also opt to row alone or experience the feel of being in an 8-person boat.
Another benefit to this rower is the option to join a membership programme that links you to other rowers. This allows you to take part in weekly rowing races and have feedback on your performance and also access 4000+workouts. And for those wanting to use this rower at home it comes on wheels so is easy to move and stand vertical when not required.
