WHAT GYM EQUIPMENT IS SELLING

From cardio or strength, to aerobic fitness or gym workouts, these are the products that are selling right now.

What is ViPR?

ViPR (pronounced viper) stands for vitality, performance and reconditioning and essentially aims to bridge the gap between movement and strength training. The name the company that produce ViPR give to this process is ‘loaded movement training’.

The equipment itself looks like a piece of brightly coloured rubber tubing. It is a hollow tube with cut outs for handles. It is one metre high, made of rubber and is available in 7 weights from 4-20kg. Its versatile design means that you can effectively lift it, throw it and drag or slam it.

ViPR is intended to use the four pillars of human movement-gravity into ground loading, stretch to shorten, multi directional movement and using the entire body for movement. So essentially it aims to bridge the gap between movement and strength, combining a traditional resistance workout with physical agility.

How Do You Use ViPR?

You can lift it in the air to tone your arms, swing it to work your sides so essentially you can burn both calories and build muscle at the same time. It therefore replaces more established gym equipment including dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, medicine balls and balance devices.

So using the ViPR you can take the simple squat and work your body, up and down, side to side and twisting. In fact, there are over 9000 exercises you can use, all from the one piece of equipment.

Benefits of ViPR

  • It provides an effective whole body workout. You will use multiple muscle groups, and move around so stimulating what your body does in real life. The person who pioneered ViPR, Michol Dalcourt, dubs this WBI-whole body integration.
  • It will improve balance and flexibility, build lean tissue and burn calories
  • It is versatile, as we have said it can be dragged, flipped and even thrown.
  • It is safe, as it is made from rubber as opposed to steel plates.
  • ViPR can also be used indoors and outdoors so offers you flexibity if the space you have inside is limited.
  • It can also be easily transported about and will fit into the back of most cars.
  •  It is also virtually indestructible and apart for the odd wash will require no further maintenance.
